How to make a banana bread?

Making a banana bread is actually very easy. This is a quick and simple recipe that can be done with the leftover bananas. If you have some ripe bananas in your kitchen and you don’t know what to do with them as them, this is the recipe for you! This easy banana recipe can be made with ingredients that are easily available in your kitchen. 

 

As an expat, i have discovered a lot of food i make today on my visits and stays in different countries. Baking was not a huge thing in my childhood living in Asia. So all the baking that I do today is a result of being an expat and a foodie for more than 8 years now. I discovered the banana bread when I was living in Germany, and now I have found the perfect mix for how i like it. This is a very moist banana bread and I usually serve it with ice cream in summer and/or some fruit yogurt in winter.

Key steps of making this easy banana bread :

  • Preparing and mixing the wet ingredients and then adding all the dry ingredients.
  • Baking for 45 minutes

Ingredients :

  1. 3 ripe bananas 
  2. 2 large eggs
  3. 150 gram sugar
  4. 220 grams all purpose flour
  5. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  6. 1 teaspoon baking powder
  7. A pinch of salt
  8. 150 ml vegetable oil
  9. 3-4 teaspoon plain yogurt 

Step by step process :

Step 1

Preheat the oven at 180 degrees C.

 

Step 2

In a large bowl, mash the peeled bananas and add two eggs. 

 

Step 3

Mix them together and add yogurt. After slightly mixing add in the oil and mix.

 

Step 4

Add baking powder, a pinch of salt, sugar and flour and mix properly.

 

Step 5

Pour the batter mix in a baking pan and bake for 45 minutes at 180 degrees.

Quick tip: Depending on the size of the baking pan, you might need to adjust the time of baking, so don’t forget to check by inserting a knife from 35 minutes. 

 

Step 6

Once baked, let it cool for about an hour and it’s ready to serve.
